Installing Netspark Mobile on Xiaomi devices requires a few extra steps to ensure full functionality, including installing a custom plugin developed in collaboration with Xiaomi. This plugin provides protection comparable to Samsung devices.

Important Notes Before You Start

• Disable Second Space: If the Second Space feature is active, disable it by navigating to:
  Settings > Special Features > Second Space.
• Enterprise Mode Requirement: To provide optimal protection on Xiaomi devices, Netspark Mobile utilizes Xiaomi’s Enterprise Mode. This feature allows for better control and security.
  • Without Enterprise Mode, content filtering will still work. However, the app is more secure from tempring removals if Enterprise mode is activated and controlled the Filtration Plugin.
  • Important: If Enterprise Mode is already activated by another organization, you will need to reset your device to disable it before proceeding with the installation.

Step-by-Step Installation Guide

1. Download Netspark Mobile from the Google Play Store

• After registering your account and adding a device profile, you’ll receive an email or SMS with a download link. Click the link to initiate installtion process.
• Alternatively, you can open the Google Play Store, search for Netspark Mobile, and install the app.

2. Launch the Netspark Mobile App

• Open the Netspark Mobile app from your home screen.
• Tap Accept to indicate that you’ve read and agree to the Privacy Policy.

3. Activate Enterprise mode

• On a different device, open this page.
  
• On the Xiaomi device you wish to protect, go to Settings > Additional Settings > Enterprise mode
  
• Tap Activate Enterprise mode and approve the action using your lock screen password
  
• Use the QR scanner on the top right corner to scan the QR code.
  
• Scroll down and tap Activate to approve the activation of Enterprise mode.
  
• The device will reboot automatically.
  
  • This will also install the Filtration Plugin as the corporate app.
    

4. Complete the Netspark Mobile Setup

• After the reboot, open the Netspark Mobile app again.
• Enter your Activation Code and press Install.

  Your Activation Code is a unique six-character code sent by email and SMS after purchasing a license. You can also find it in the Netspark Admin Dashboard. visit this guide for further details

5. Permit App Usage Access

• Tap Continue and follow the prompts to grant Netspark Mobile access to your apps usage.

6. Approve VPN Access

• A dialog box will appear requesting VPN permissions. Tap OK to allow access.

7. Set Uninstall Protection

• You’ll be prompted to enable Uninstall Protection.
• Choose whether to:
  • Require a password for uninstalling Netspark, or
  • Allow any user to remove Netspark without a password.
• Make your selection and tap Continue.

8. Approve Notification Access

• A dialog box will appear requesting notification access. Tap Allow to continue.

9. Install the Security Certificate

• You will be prompted to the Security Settings menu.
• Navigate through the following options:
  • More Security Settings > Encryption and Credentials > Install a Certificate > CA Certificates.
• A warning message will appear. Tap Install Anyway to proceed.
• If your device has a screen lock password, enter it when prompted.
• You will be directed to the Downloads folder. Tap the certificate file named myca.crt to complete the installation.

10. Finalize Installation

• Allow all remaining access requests that appear.
• Congratulations! Netspark Mobile is now installed successfully. Tap Continue to open the app.

Installation Complete!

You’ll notice a VPN icon in the notification bar, indicating the filter is active.
