Setting Up the Uninstall prevention for iOS


  1. If the protected device has Stolen Device Protection turned on, it is recommended to install Uninstall Protection in a trusted place (Home, Work, etc.), otherwist you will have to wait until the ine hour Security Delay ends. For more details click here
  2. Netspark Mobile's Uninstall Protection feature for iOS devices prevents any uncontrolled attempts to remove Netspark.
  3. Once the Uninstall Protection is enabled, Netspark can only be removed using the Account Administrator Password. 
  4. In order to set up the Uninstall Protection, the device must be running iOS 11 or above.
  1. Uninstall Protection setup on a Windows PC

Before beginning, please ensure that the following steps have been completed:

1. Netspark Mobile was installed from our website (and not the App Store) and a VPN  icon appears on the top of the screen. On some iPhone models, the VPN icon may be hidden. You can see the VPN icon by swiping down the screen from the top-right corner.

2. iTunes  is installed on your computer from the Apple website (and not from Microsoft Store). If iTunes is not installed, you can download it from this link.

In order set up the Uninstall Protection, please follow these steps:

Step 1 - Download and run the Uninstall Protection setup file

1. Download the Uninstall Protection setup file. The file named Netspark_iOS_Protection.exe with the Netspark icon will appear in your computer's Downloads folder.

2. Open and run the Uninstall Protection setup file from the lower-left corner of your browser. If you do not see the Netspark_iOS_Protection.exe file in your browser, you can find it in your PC's Downloads folder. If prompted for permission by the User Account Control dialog, click Yes

Step 2 - Connect your iOS device to your computer 

1. Connect your iOS device to a PC with a USB cable.

2. If prompted, tap the Trust option and then enter your passcode (if you have set one) so the iPhone can access content on your computer. If the Trust notification does not appear, you may have already trusted the computer in the past.



3. Click the Start button on the installation setup screen on your computer.



Step 3 - Backup your device using iTunes

1. Open iTunes  on your PC.

2. In the iTunes app on your PC, click the Device button  near the top left of the iTunes window.

3. Click Summary from the sidebar (below Settings).



4. Click Back Up Now (below Backups).



5. Click the Next button on the installation setup screen on your computer.



Step 4 - Disable your Passcode

1. Open Settings  on your iOS device.

2. Tap Face ID & Passcode  or Touch ID & Passcode 

3. Enter your existing Passcode.

4. Turn Passcode Off.



5. Click the Next button on the installation setup screen on your computer.



Step 5 - Disable Find My iPhone

1. Go back to Settings on your iOS device.

2. Tap your Apple ID name.

3. Tap Find My 

4. Tap Find My iPhone, then tap again to turn it off.



5. Enter your Apple ID password, then tap Turn Off.



6. Click the Next button on the installation setup screen on your computer.



Your device will now automatically restart and Netspark will begin automatically setting up the Uninstall Protection. Important! Do not disconnect the device from the computer until the setup completes.

Step 6 - Enable Remote Management 

1. After the device restarts, tap Continue.

2. Tap Apply configuration.



3. Tap Next.



4. Wait until the device's Home Screen loads, then click the Finish button on your computer. Important! Do not click Finish until the Home Screen loads.



Step 7 - Complete the installation

1. Click the OK button on the installation setup screen on your computer.



The Uninstall Protection setup has finished successfully!

Note:
  1. You may now re-enable the device's Passcode and Find my iPhone.



Uninstall Protection setup on a Mac

Before beginning, please ensure that Netspark Mobile was installed from our website (and not the App Store) and a VPN  icon appears on the top of the screen. On some iPhone models, the VPN icon may be hidden. You can see the VPN icon by swiping down the screen from the top-right corner.

In order set up the Uninstall Protection, please follow these steps:

Step 1 - Download and run the Uninstall Protection setup file

1. Download the Uninstall Protection setup file. The file named Netspark_iOS_Protection.dmg with the Netspark icon will appear in your computer's Downloads folder.

2. Click the Show Downloads button  near the top-right corner of the Safari window, then double-click on the Uninstall Protection installation file.


3. A dialog box will appear with the Netspark icon . Double click the icon 

4. When prompted, click Open.



Step 2 - Connect your iOS device to your Mac

1. Connect your iOS device to your Mac with a USB cable.

2. When prompted, Press Trust. If the Trust notification does not appear, you may have already trusted this Mac in the past.



3. Click the Start button on the installation setup screen on your Mac.



Step 3 - Backup your device using Finder

1. Open Finder  on your Mac.

2. Select your device in the Finder sidebar.



3. Select General in the button bar.



4. Click Back Up Now (below Backups).



5. Click the Next button on the installation setup screen on your Mac.



Step 4 - Disable your Passcode

1. Open Settings  on your iOS device.

2. Tap Face ID & Passcode  or Touch ID & Passcode  

3. Enter your existing Passcode.

4. Turn Passcode Off.



5. Click the Next button on the installation setup screen on your computer.



Step 5 - Disable Find My iPhone

1. Go back to Settings on your iOS device.

2. Tap your Apple ID name.

3. Tap Find My 

4. Tap Find My iPhone, then tap again to turn it off.



5. Enter your Apple ID password, then tap Turn Off.



6. Click the Next button on the installation setup screen on your computer.



Step 6 - Grant Full Disk Access

1. Click the Next button on the installation setup screen on your Mac and The Security & Privacy window will open.



2. Click the small lock icon in the lower-left corner to be able to make changes.



3. When prompted, enter your Mac administrator password and confirm by clicking Unlock.



4. Check the box next to Netspark_Uninstall_Protection.



5. When prompted, click Later then close the Security & Privacy window.



6. Click the Next button on the installation setup screen on your Mac.



Your device will now automatically restart and Netspark will begin automatically setting up the Uninstall Protection. Important! Do not disconnect the device from the computer until the setup completes.

Step 7 - Enable Remote Management 

1. After the device restarts, tap Continue.

2. Tap Apply configuration.



3. Tap Next.



4. Wait until the device's Home Screen loads, then click the Finish button on your Mac. Important! Do not click Finish until the Home Screen loads.



Step 8 - Complete the installation

1. Click the OK button on the installation setup screen on your Mac.



The Uninstall Protection setup has finished successfully!

  1. You may now re-enable the device's Passcode and Find my iPhone.
