How to Install the Netspark Certificate on macOS

To allow Netspark to filter secure (HTTPS) websites, you need to install and trust the Netspark security certificate.

Follow these steps:

  1. Download the certificate file (.crt) from the provided link.
  2. Open Finder → Downloads, then double-click the file (e.g., myca.crt).
  3. The certificate will open in Keychain Access.
    When prompted, select:
    Keychain: System
    Then click Add.
  4. Enter your Mac administrator username and password when prompted.
  5. In Keychain Access, make sure you are viewing the System keychain, then locate the Netspark certificate.
  6. Double-click the certificate to open its details.
  7. Expand the Trust section.
  8. Set:
    “When using this certificate” → Always Trust
  9. Close the window, then enter your administrator password again to save the changes.

Verification

The certificate should now appear as trusted in the System keychain.
You may see a blue “+” icon or trust indication, depending on your macOS version.
