Installing the Security Certificate on Android
For Android 11 and newer versions, the process for installing security certificates has changed. Sometimes during Netspark's installation, the certificate file may not appear in the Downloads folder. This issue is common on less familiar devices but can be resolved with the following steps:
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Download the Certificate
- Open this link to download the certificate.
- On the web page, tap Download Certificate.
2. Access Security Settings
- Return to your device's Home Screen.
- Go to:
Settings → Biometrics and Security → Other Security Settings.
3. Install the Certificate
- Select Install from Device Storage → CA Certificate.
- If prompted, tap Install Anyway (you may need to enter your device's passcode).
4. Select the Certificate File
- From the list of files, choose myca.crt.
Notes
- Ensure the downloaded certificate is saved in the Downloads folder if it doesn't appear automatically.
- Some devices may have slightly different menu names. Look for Security, Encryption, or Credentials if you can’t find the exact options.
