When using Netspark on a Windows PC, you may encounter issues connecting to a workplace or external VPN. This happens because Netspark itself uses a secure VPN to provide web filtering, which can conflict with other VPNs.
To resolve this, you can exclude the work VPN from Netspark's filtering in one of the following ways:
Open the Netspark Management Console.
Go to Personal List > Applications.
Select the VPN app's .exe
file from the list of installed applications.
Confirm and apply the changes.
Check if the VPN now connects properly.
💡 Make sure it’s a legitimate VPN program and verify the correct file path.
Ask your workplace or IT department for the Destination IP address or domain of the VPN server (e.g., 98.109.43.22
or vpn.company.com
).
Go to Personal List > IP / URL Addresses.
Enter the full address or domain name.
Confirm and apply the changes.
Restart the VPN connection and test.
This method excludes the internal IP address assigned to the device by the workplace network when connecting via VPN.
Temporarily disable Netspark filtering using the admin password or authorized access.
Connect the device to the work VPN.
Open the Command Prompt (search for cmd
in the Start menu).
Type and run: ipconfig
Look for the network adapter titled "Ethernet adapter" or "PPP adapter".
Find the line that says IPv4 Address – copy this IP (e.g., 172.17.3.29
).
Go to Management Console > Personal List > Source IP.
Paste the IP address you found.
Confirm the setting.
Restart the VPN and verify it's working.
⚠️ Make sure the IP is not dynamic (i.e., doesn’t change frequently). If unsure, consult your IT department.
Always ensure the VPN you’re trying to connect to is safe and approved.
If the VPN fails after some time, check if the internal IP has changed.
If the issue persists, reach out to your workplace IT team for support and ask for a preffered internal IP.
