App Management - Managing Apps on iOS with Netspark
Netspark now offers enhanced app identification on iOS for all protected device. The feature is enabled to all filtered iOS devices, not depending on Uninstall Protection that are supervising the device.
Why Manage an App?
When you allow Netspark to manage an app, you give it permission to monitor and filter the app’s internet traffic directly. This helps:
✔ Ensure apps function properly without overblocking.
✔ Apply the appropriate protection level to each app.
How to Manage an App
- Open the Netspark Mobile app or log in to the Netspark management site.
- Select the device you want to manage.
- Navigate to the App List and choose the app you want to manage.
- Set the desired protection level for the app.
- A pop-up message will appear on the device, asking for approval to allow Netspark to manage the selected app.
Approving the App Management Request
When you select an app for management, you will receive a notification:
1. Review the request
A system notification will inform you that Netspark wants to manage the selected app.
2. Approve the request
Tap Allow to grant permission for Netspark to manage the app’s internet traffic.
✅ Once approved, Netspark will filter the app according to your selected protection level.
Important Notes
- Each app that requires management will send its own notification requesting permission.
- If your device is supervised by Uninstall Protection, Netspark already has permission to manage all apps on the device. In this case, no additional approvals are needed.
